Regular Supervisor Meeting

John Called the meeting to order, in attendance for the supervisor board John Jones, Heath Gillham Russell Nelson, Clerk Sandy Forsman, Treasurer Lenore Johnson, Maintenance Brian Opatz, Absent Jim Kloster , Steve Langanki.

Open form for citizen comments- None

 

Review and approve of agenda, Russell made a motion to approve the agenda and Heath seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Consent Agenda- Minutes of October 21st, 2008, Motion by Heath to accept the minutes and seconded by Russell all in favor motion carried.

Clerks report-Russell made a motion to accept the clerks report and seconded by Heath all in favor motion carried.

Disbursements-Claim # 6871 Mary Hill $83.00

                         Claim # 6874 Minn Assoc. Townships $ 7,318.00

                         Claim # 6882 Champlain oil Co. $ 1106.78

Motion to accept the audit of disbursements by Russell and seconded by Heath all in favor motion carried.

 

Treasurers report-Deposited  a ACH payment from the state for $23,402.42, also a check for a culvert for $470.68. Yet to be deposited $378.83 to R&B and $150.00 to Building.

Totals in accounts Revenue $115,237.84, Road and Bridge $53,824.33 for available monies of $169,062.17. In the fire fund $10,815.67, Building $921.94, Capital Imp $668.89, Contingency $15,488.77, Checking $743.85 Checks out $2,148.38.Motion by Heath to accept the treasurers report and seconded by Russell all in favor motion carried.

 

Because of two members not in attendance a discussion on future activity for the township was tabled till the December meeting.

 

Old Business- Buddhist Temple Driveway, No one in attendance for the temple.

 

Maintenance report- Brian stated black dirt was donated by Maple Lake and I hauled as much as I could by truck for road projects culverts and washouts.

All the mowing for the year is done for the snow season.

The dump truck had to be repaired its strobes were not working.

Ordered 75 tons of Granite from Astech and mixed it with salt and sand for the up coming winter. The granite is used on gravel roads for better traction then just the use of salt and sand.

Motion by Heath to accept the  maintenance report and seconded by Russell all in favor motion carried.

 

John gave a update to how the 1000 friends gave grants to local townships and cities.

 

Motion to adjourn by Heath and seconded by Russell all in favor motion carried.
