the Planning and Zoning Board

Hill absent The supervisor board, John Jones, Doug Schneider, Heath Gillham, Russell Nelson, Steve Langanki.
Clerk Sandy Forsman.
Johann called the meeting to order.
Johann asked for a motion to approve Mays minutes. Bill made
a motion to approve the minutes as written and Amy seconded all in favor motion
carried.
Johann called Jerry Foley , Mr. Foley is asking for a
condition use permit to run a towing business, a impound lot, and a vehicle
service shop at the East end of the Leroy Mehr
building located off County road 8 and 150th St. N.W. Mr. Foley and
Mr. Mehr are both in attendance to answer questions
from the boards.Mr. Foley explained to the board that
the impound lot would at no time exceed 10 vehicles and the car sale lot no
more then 14.The shop square footage was about 5000 square feet including a office. It would have two mechanics on duty with two
repair pits of 48 feet by 48 feet. Including one over head
door. Board asked if there was a flammable waste pit drain in this shop.
Leroy stated that there would be one. A chain link fence would surround the
impound lot, board reviewed area for impound and Kathy made a suggestion that
because of the holding pound location that the impound area be by the propane
tanks in back of the building for appearances and safety of any chemicals that
would leak from the impound vehicles into the holding pound. Board questioned
Leroy as to how many CUP permits there are for that building? Leroy responded
three. Leroy stated that he would fix the erosion on the holding pond.
Bill made a motion to approve a CUP for this business with
these conditions (1) That the impound lot par ell
Johann discussed the meeting at the counties planning and
zoning board on Chris Klein’s request, it was a three way tie so it was carried
to the next meeting with a site inspection of the questioned property. The
Buddhist temple request of a conditional use permit to host two fund raiser
events was passed.
Motion to adjourn by Bill and Amy seconded all in favor
motion carried.
