REGULAR MEETING OF
PLANNING AND ZONING

Steve Duncan called the meeting to order. In attendance for
planning and zoning, Steve Duncan, Ralph Uecker, Steve
Langanki, Bill Langenbacher,
Johann Massmann. For the Supervisor
board, John Jones, Alfred Shenton, Russell Nelson.
Clerk Sandy Forsman.
30 Residents in attendance.
Allyson Beffoll called, not in
attendance.
Terry Smith called, Terry addressed the board with a blue
print of the area that she owns and the additional parcel she wishes to
purchase to place a shed on. The purchase piece of property adjoins her current
two pieces of land labeled 3 & 4. The parcel in question is 1.3 acres. Bill
made a motion to approve the attachment of the 1.3 acre parcel to her lots
labeled 3 & 4. Johann seconded all in favor motion carried.
Supervisor board- Alfred made a motion to accept the
recommendation of the planning board and Russell seconded all in favor motion
carried.
Mike Miller representative for the Flying J Corporation.- Mr. Miller addressed both the boards with presentation
materials and a site plan for a proposed truck stop to be placed on a parcel
off county road 8 . The proposed building would be on 25 acres. John stated
that he had visited with Tom Salkowski of Wright
County Planning and Zoning. As of this date no split by the property owners has
been requested. The property consist of about 100 acres of which is 30 acres
commercial and Agi residential the balance.
Mr. Miller spoke of the background of the company and
founder. He stated that the proposed building would employ about 100 people.
There would be no truck repair on site. There would be room for 119 cars, 8
RV’S, 189 trucks, with 12 diesel islands and 8 island
for cars, 2 for RV’S. Citizens questions and concerns were answered by Mr.
Miller and the board . Nothing has been finalized by
the county as yet and many concerns will be addressed. Further information will
be available when received. This was just a informal
meeting at this time.

favor motion carried.
