Planning and Zoning Meeting

In attendance for the planning board, Steve Duncan, Johann Massmann, William Langenbacher, Ralph Uecker absent. For the supervisor board, John Jones, Heath Gillham, Jim Kloster, Russell Nelson, Steve Langanki. Clerk Sandy Forsman.

 

Approval of the March 13, 2008 minutes. Johann made a motion to approve the minutes as written and Bill seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Randy Smith appeared before the board for a variance if it can be determined that lots nine and ten of Freemont Heights can be split and developed as separate residential lots. These lots qualify for the Wild and Scenic River Act and are zoned as such which as zoned each must have a minimum of one acre and 120 feet in width. As the board discussed ruling on these types of lots that indicate that if owned in common may not be separated or used as separate residential lots if lot qualifications are not met. The board found that at this time they would not make a recommendation . Johann made a motion for no recommendation and Bill seconded all in favor motion carried.

Supervisor board, Jim made a motion to accept the recommendation of the planning board and Steve seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Wayne Brown Construction ( Chad Lavaato ) property. The builder would like to put a attached garage on to a existing lake home and would like a variance for a 20x24 garage. It would be 12 feet from the edge of the road and 8 ½ feet from the lot line. This lot is also a under sized lot. The board after looking at the blue prints made a determination on the set back rules. Johann made a motion to deny the request based on the set backs do not meet requirements. Bill seconded all in favor motion carried.

Supervisor board, Jim made a motion to accept the recommendation of the planning board and Steve seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Robert Gruys, Mr Gruys wishes to have a condition use permit to operate and sell used Classic cars with some repairing to be done on the property located 1141-94th St N.W. He also stated there may be some vehicles in the back of the property but only on a temporary basis, he would like to build a shed sometime in the back for temporary storage. This property is also shared by the Silver Creek Post Office. Johann made a motion to allow the conditional use permit for the sale of classic used cars with repairing allowed on the property , only one vehicle to be allowed in the front of the building with a limit of 12 cars to be stored on a temporary basis in the back. This CUP would be renewed every two years . Bill seconded all in favor motion carried.

Supervisor board, Steve made a motion to accept the recommendation of the planning board and Jim seconded all in favor motion carried.
