Regular Planning and Zoning Meeting

Steve Duncan called the meeting to order, in attendance for the planning board, Steve Duncan, Ralph Uecker, William Langenbacher, Johann Massmann, absent Steve Langanki.

Supervisor board, John Jones, Alfred Shenton Jim Kloster Russell Nelson, absent Heath Gillham.

Clerk Sandy Forsman present.

 

Ron Gilder called- Not in attendance.

 

Russell Martie for State Aggregates- Renew of conditional use permit. Johann asked the question of hours of operation and if crushing is done on Sunday? How will the property be reclaimed once the pit has been expired ? Mr. Martie replied that it will be reclaimed in to a park landscape. Jeff from State Aggregates replied that to the crushing on Sunday it does not happen. Johann made the motion to allow the conditional use permit for one more year with a renew date of November 2008, Ralph seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Supervisor Board- Alfred made the motion to accept the recommendation of the planning and zoning board and Jim seconded all in favor motion carried.

 

Tracy Larson and Tom Chaney  Hasty RV Property-Mr. Larson would like to place a sale lot for truck tractors (Peter Built) on the property. He has been in business since 1971. He would lease the property for two years with the option to purchase. No major repairs on property and from 20 to 30 tractors on the property at one time. John asked if it would be possible for a site plan to be drawn up. Jim asked about turn lanes on and off the property. Jim suggested that Mr. Larson return to the December Planning and Zoning meeting with site plans . Bill asked about the  septic system now on the property and if a expansion would be in the future? Also how the property would be lighted. Mr. Larson will return in December with more information.

 

Wes Nelson- Good Sam RV Park Clearwater. Requests permission for signage on county road 75 and Elder Ave. Directing traffic to RV Park.

Discussion on size of sign and placement possibilities. John to meet with Mr. Nelson Wednesday for a sight analysis. To be continued at the regular board meeting with more sign information.

Steve Anderson for Franklin Sign – Mr. Anderson would like to place a bill board on the property of Whispering Pines near the freeway on the east end. It would be a large bill board with a single lighted post.   Presented a aerial photo of the location. Johann questioned the location stating that was near wet lands. Zoned B-1. Mr. Anderson will return for the December meeting of Planning and Zoning with further information. 

 

Motion by Bill to adjourn and seconded by Ralph all in favor motion carried.
