The recycler will pickup every other Wednesday.  Please have your recyclables out the night before.  If you should be missed, please notify the township office and the office will inform the recycler .

Here is the new recycling schedule for 2008.   If you do not have a blue recycling container, please contact the township.  The recycler would prefer to have the residents use these containers rather then other kinds to identify recycling from the garbage containers.

Our Recycling Program

What can be recycled
Newspapers must be in a brown paper bag or bundled and tied securely.
          Cardboard must be cut down and placed in a brown paper bag or bundled and tied securely.
          Oil containers must have lids securely fastened. Any leaking or spilled containers will not be picked up.
          Tin and aluminum cans must be clean, dry, have the label removed and be flattened.
          Glass must be clean, dry, label and cap/top removed, and be sorted by color.  No broken glass is accepted.
          Plastic must be clean, dry, and label removed if possible.  Only #1PETE and #2HDPE plastics are accepted. 
How to prepare recyclable materials for pickup
Items for recycling must be placed in the blue recycling bins provided by the Township.  Please place bins out the night before the scheduled pickup day.  If you need a recycling bin, contact Sandy at 763-878-0141.  All items must be clean and dry, and if appropriate, be bundled and tied.
When we pick it up
Recycling in the Township will be offered every other Wednesday.   Holidays and bad weather will delay the regular pickup schedule by one business day.
